STEPHENS COUNTY, Ok (RNN Texoma) –

A Stephens County deputy was involved in a wreck on Thursday afternoon as he was responding to a call in the county.

According to OHP, the deputy was performing a U-turn near the intersection of the Duncan Bypass and Beech Ave around 3 p.m. when the crash occurred.

The deputy was responding on an alarm call to backup another officer. OHP says he had not activated his emergency lights at the time of the wreck. 

The officer was not injured. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to Duncan Regional Hospital but their injuries were reportedly minor.
